What To Expect From Stunning New Life?
I have always been a personal development enthusiast and with this blog, with a background in psychology, I want to share my journey and personal experience that helped me overcome the fear of failure, limiting beliefs, anxiety, and negative thoughts so you can start living your life to the fullest!
And if you can relate to any of those things like- doubting yourself, not being able to finally take a step that can be a life-changing one, or making a career switch because you feel stuck and can’t find your own ways.
Well, Just know, we don’t realize many times how powerful and brave we are until we go ahead and believe in it.
And that is what you’ll find on this blog!!
What This Blog Is Not About?
Well, this is not a typical motivational blog. I always found that critical thinking and questioning is required in order to learn and take actions in life. I lose motivation more often than I realize but I believe long as we can ask question our beliefs, ask questions, seek out help and take actions, we are good.
My Story (This is going to be a Bit long)
I created this blog to share TONs of things that helped me overcome limiting beliefs, negative mindset, fear of failure, people-pleasing and helping me in my journey towards self-love, freedom, self-growth and overall becoming a better version of myself. (mind you, I said better and not best meaning I am not perfect and I still make mistakes, a lot of them and I am still a work in progress and always will be).
I believe that self-improvement is a lifelong journey and there’s so much more that I still don’t know. I am learning something new every single day so, I am definitely not an expert but I can be that friend that won’t ghost you when you need them the most. (you can even text me on X if you wanna say hi). My handle is @stunningnewlife.
Now if you wanna know a bit more about me? Let’s get started!
How it all started?
When I graduated from high school, I had no idea what to do with my life like many others. I was a confused teenager.
Although I always wanted to do my own things like owning a business, that was only a wish at that time like a lot of high school students think. I did not know anything about business, no one in my family even owned any business.
After graduating from high school, I decided to do a BSC in computer application.
In my first year of college, I did not know why I was doing what I was doing. I was completely miserable and was not fitting-in.
All I knew at that time was that I couldn’t go back to my parents and tell them- I did not want to do this because one thing I knew was that they’d not listen to me.
After my first year of college, I knew for sure that I did NOT want to do this anymore.
I still had no idea (I am definitely not one of those people who can find their passion early on in their life).
I really did not like what I was studying. I started to find different ways so I can make a career switch but I had no idea or any skill at that time.
I used to scroll Pinterest and google to read blog posts every night until 4 am. I was in a total misrable situation.
As a broke college student, I was anxious and stressed about my future, and fear of failure was holding me back every time I started to do something on my own.
Making a career switch wasn’t an easy task.
Somehow one day while scrolling on Pinterest, I got to know about Fiverr, I created an account and hoped to get some work.
I was able to find some projects within a week or so and I worked as a freelancer for the next 8 months. Learned so many things, and made some money as well.
My college life was in the backseat. I hadn’t dropped out yet because I knew I still hadn’t found something that I could do for the rest of my life (or at least like doing at this point).
Within 8 and a half months of freelancing, I realized that this was not something I wanted to do anymore either because working and dealing with clients wasn’t my thing and most importantly I was not seeing anything big in that as well.
I wanted to start something that I can call mine.
Again the search has started and I was trying my best to find other ways.
In the meantime, I also tried some offline businesses with one of my school friends.
At that time, I was in my late teenage years and early 20s, and I was doing too many things at a time. I did some offline business with one of my school friends for another six months then I had to leave, that didn’t do well either.
No matter how confident you are and how many self-help books you have read when you fail, nothing works. No motivational books work and no YouTube videos work. You feel like a total failure and it makes you feel that you wouldn’t be able to make it- ever.
I was feeling that way as well.
And I had no idea what I would do next.
This was back in 2021 (I was 22) when I decided to learn about digital marketing and get serious about it.
(At this point, I also graduated from college and got my B.Sc. Degree that I knew I would never use) Working in a job in an office was not exciting to me and I never wanted to do this for the rest of my life.
I spent my day and night learning and thinking about what I do to make my own blog.
After thorough research, I finally decided to launch my blog in Dec 2021 with a mission to start a blog and give it a chance.
Slowly I started to enjoy writing blog posts and sharing with what I had learned. In 2022, I started another food and cozy life blog that I am working on passionately.
(As of Oct 2024, I am running 3 blogs and loving it).
And even though it’s not a million dollar blog even in 2024, I am happy with what I am doing.
After all, with so much information available online, we want someone to share what works for them (and what didn’t) from a real person, right? And that is what made me create and keep this blog.
