Finding Peace In Chaos and Uncertainty is more challenging than ever.

The world is full of chaos and uncertainty, you go to the bed every night and something new happens by the time you wake up.

It messes up with your mind. It makes you question things about your work and even personal life so in all these situations finding peace in chaos and uncertainty is the BIG & crucial  question.

And this is what we will talk about today because a few months ago (in fact for the longest time I have been in this situation and let this sabotage my mindset, my work and ultimately my success).

But I think finally, I am realizing that even if there are so many things that make you feel that you have no control over things (because in most cases, you don’t) how to learn to live in peace.

But to understand how we can make peace with all the messiness, let’s first understand what makes us feel powerless in the first place.

Finding Peace In Chaos and Uncertainty

Trying To Controlling Things That “we” Can’t Control

Let’s be honest there are MOST of the things in the world that we can NOT control. I finally came to realize that it’s actually a good thing.

When you know that you can’t control things that are stressing you out, you learn to surrender, trust, adapt, and appreciate what we do have power over: our effort, our mindset, our response.

I was thinking about this. I realized that this is not just about the outside world, we can’t even control most of our body functions. Most things happen on their own and nature knows the best and it is working for you.

If we had control over everything—our emotions, others’ reactions, health, relationships—we’d start believing we’re invincible. But not having that control teaches humility.

If something is stressing you out, think about it because when you shift your mindset from trying to control things to navigating the mess and figuring out the things that you have control over.

Understanding what you can’t control helps you let go (for good) so you can accept what you can control.

And if you look around, that’s how our system works.

Over Planning And Not Taking Enough (or at all) Actions

Most of us have been there so if you find this relatable, you are not alone.

Most of us  know what we want and even have a plan to get there but not taking enough actions every day puts so much stress.

You somehow put yourself in a regret cycle that tells you that you should have taken the actions before. It wastes so much time.

It is a cycle that we need to break and continue to break every day. It will put you in peace that you took the actions and did what you have control over.

Thinking “we” Need ALL The Info Out There

Social media somehow convinces us (and then we convince ourselves) that we need all the information out there. The FOMO is real. There is this urge to check what is happening in others’ lives, current trends and news that are somehow controlling our minds.

And we need to take our power back because our attention matters. We need to know how to spend our time and where to spend it.

Trust me, if you are someone who thinks you need all the new trend or current info out there, maybe it is the right time to think again especially if it is not teaching you something or helping build something.

(If you find yourself comparing yourself to others, here’s I talk about why we compare ourselves and how to stop it today).

Not Practicing Any Time Away From Chaos

This one is connected to the previous point. Most of us now by default scroll our phones when we have some free time. We don’t think about it anymore.

I wrote a post a while ago where I asked you about your screen time. Mine was terrible. It still is but I am working towards improving it and making sure I do not consume just anything all the time and use my free time productively- here are some ideas for you to try as well.

NOT Making Any Change In My Daily Routine

We as humans need change. We can’t eat the same food everyday, we don’t want to do the same activity everyday. Similarly, we can’t do the same thing everyday either. If you do, there are chances that you will feel bored.

To tackle this (even with a repetitive job), you need to make some changes in your daily life (don’t wait for the weekend).

You control how you spend your after-work time (well, in most cases) so adapt to any hobby that you enjoy. Don’t take it so seriously and find happiness in imperfection. Allow yourself to be imperfect.

I am loving this daily planner and would recommend as well.

Final Thoughts- Finding peace in chaos is challenging. Please don’t try to apply all the ideas at once, start slow and over time you will find that it is getting easier for you- even in uncertain situations, you will know how to take a step back, analyze the situation and take decisions with a calm mind.
