Glow Up Challenge- 51 Ways To Glow Up This Summer

You will get 51 glow up challenge ideas in this post but you can choose a handful of them to try out.
HERE YOU GO-
1. Stay Hydrated
Glow up challenge would be incomplete without mentioning this vital step. It’s understandable If you struggle to drink enough water, and to help you with that, you can set the alarm to remind you that it’s time to drink it. Alternatively, you can also use a bottle with timestamps. There are also many apps for it as well.
2. Use Light Weight Moisturizer
People with oily skin think they don’t need moisturizer, but in reality, they do. Every skin type needs moisturizer, but it’s important to pick one that suits your skin type.
3. Exfoliate
Exfoliation can be important in achieving glow and removing dead skin cells.
4. Use Sun Protection
Exposure to UV rays can cause premature aging and sunburns. It’s always a good idea to invest in quality sunscreen.
5. Exercise on a daily basis
If you are not already involved in daily exercise, it is time to do yourself a favor and start doing it. In the beginning, you might not like it and you may procrastinate and even want to give up, but it is something that helps you glow inside out and maintain energy throughout the day.
6. Start Eating Healthy
If you wish to have a glow that reflects inside out, challenge yourself to eat healthier and fresh food.
7. Get Enough Sleep
Getting 7-8h of sleep ensures your body functions properly. I learned that if you stop using your electronics to calm your mind at least an hour before going to sleep, you tend to get better and deep sleep.
8. Update your wardrobe
You can experiment and add bright and vibrant colors to stand out and get more excited.
9. Switch Up Your Makeup
You can play around with makeup this summer if that is what you prefer and try new looks. Pinterest is always my favorite place to find inspiration.
10. Get a pedicure
And manicure. You can have it done by a professional since our feet, and hands get exposure in the summer.
11. Spend Time Outdoors
In this beautiful weather, people love to spend more time outdoors, but even if you are among people who still prefer to live at home, I suggest going to your nearest park, even for 30 minutes to get some fresh air and freshen up your mood as your eyes can get tired if you are staying home and using your electronics for long time.
12. Go on a vacation
This is my favorite on the list as a travel lover. If you are anything like me, you can book a vacation and experience something new and exciting.
13. Take up on a new skill
Education should not just be limited to college. Nowadays, there are many ways to learn what you wish to learn. I started this blog back in Dec 2021 and really enjoying it. I love sharing my experiences and helping people all around the world. Recently, I enrolled in a life coaching program and couldn’t be happier that I finally took this step.
14. Attend social Events
This is also an option if you are looking for outdoor activity.
15. Volunteer for a cause you care about
If you have time or can manage to get some free time, it is something you’ll never regret doing.
16. Maintain Oral Hygiene
Maintaining oral hygiene is super important. If you want, you can also go for teeth whitening.
17. Invest in a Quality Sunglass
To prevent your eyes from harmful UV rays this summer and enjoy your time outdoors.
18. Wake Up A Little Earlier
Whether you think you don’t have enough time to start a side hustle or don’t get enough time to spend with yourself, waking up a little earlier can solve your problem. You don’t have to wake up at 4 or 5 am unless you really want to. Even 2 hours earlier than your regular time would give you enough time.
19. Donate Your Old Clothes
So you can free up your space for better and new ones.
20. Smile More
Because you glow naturally when you smile. Don’t wait for anything to happen to become the happier version of yourself. Stay happy in the present moment.
21. Wear Summer-Friendly Fabrics
To allow your skin to breath in hot weather is so important otherwise it can cause irritation. Fabrics like cotton are summer friendly and should be used.
22. Get a Massage
Massaging your body is a great way to relax and release stress.
23. Practice self care
One of the best ways to practice self-care this summer is to take things slowly and focus on one thing at a time. When you take things slowly, you tend to focus better and be at ease with whatever you do.
24. Try a New Workout.
Do you find your workout boring and repetitive? It might be the right time to make some changes- for better.
And if you don’t want to work out all alone (because it can leads to boredom when you’re doing everything on your own) you can try Alo Moves, where you will get an instructor so workout won’t feel lonely again. It’s also reasonably priced, so it’s worth trying out!
25. Hire A Coach.
Another glow up challenge idea is to hire a coach. If you are struggling to get in shape or in any other way for the longest time (I know I did) but nothing seems to be working out, then working with a professional who knows what they are doing can minimize your hassle of trying millions of things that eventually does not give you the result you wanted (I know how frustrating and defeating it can feel).
26. Take A Makeup Class.
Another fun and exciting challenge if you’re into it.
27. Use A Face Mask.
Summer and face masks. What else could be a better combination?
28.Get A Piercing.
If you want to get a new look or do something new, then piercing might be an option for you.
29. Use a Facial Roller
Here is my recommendation:
30. Take A Cooking Class.
Just like taking makeup classes, if you absolutely enjoy cooking, then taking a cooking class and trying out a couple of new recipes is a great glow up challenge.
31. Read a Book.
I have written down my top 10 must read books and 11 manifestation books that I recommend everyone to read at least once.
32. Practice Mindfulness.
Practicing mindfulness is all about paying attention to the present moment with an open and non-judgemental attitude.
Here are some ways to practice mindfulness:
- Find a quiet place to sit. You can sit on a chair or the floor.
- Take a deep breath and calm yourself down. Focus on your breath and notice the sensation.
- Pay attention to your thoughts as you take a deep breath and release them slowly.
- Don’t judge your thoughts. If your mind wanders, bring your attention back to your breath.
- Practice it daily and incorporate mindfulness into your daily activities, like eating and walking.
