What Actually Is Reality Shifting?
As I mentioned before, reality shifting is when you are not happy with your current situation and desperately want to change it for a better life for yourself and for the people around you.
10 Ways To Shift Reality
Here are a few shifting methods to get you started.
1. Clear your thoughts
The very first step to shifting your reality is to clear your thoughts. If there are countless thoughts going on in your mind, you will start feeling restless.
Clearing your thoughts will help you follow the other process easily.
2. Plan your dream life.
Once you clear your thoughts, this is a time to plan your dream life. To be honest, deep inside, we all know what kind of life we want.
So, don’t just let it be in your head and write it down.
3. Write why you want them
Once you write everything that you want in your life. Now is the time to ask yourself why you want them.
If it is something that is not aligning with your future goals and your personality, definitely that’s not for you. You will have to have a reason as to why you want it in your life, and that reason will motivate you to achieve that.
4. Release that pressure
Most of the time, the actions we take are not because we want to do that but because we are afraid of being judged by our parents, friends, peers, and society.
At some point, you start feeling like everyone is against you.
It seems so harsh to keep up with all that, especially when you are just starting out.
At the same time, It would not be fair for me to say that you should kill your dreams just because people around you can’t share your vision.
4. What actions can you take today
Your mind is clear, you have planned your dream life, and you know exactly why you want that.
Think about what actions you can take today. The first step is always the hardest, but it will surely make you more confident once you take it.
Start with a baby step.
For example, if your goal is to start a business, then the baby step could be to do a simple google search and find out people who are already doing that business really well and start from there.
5. Visualize your best version
Do you know what’s the most common thing that almost every self-help book talks about? That is to visualize your future self, your best self.
As Carl Sagan says – Imagination will often carry us to a world that never were, but without it, we go nowhere.
Almost all people who have become successful in the past knew where they wanted to go and lived as if they are already there. Their dreams were bigger than their self-doubt and fear of failure.
You need to be a little bit crazy. Crazy is the price you pay for having an imagination. It’s your superpower tapping into the dream. It’s a good thing, not a bad thing. – Ruth Ozeki
6. Believe in yourself
The previous step is connected to this step. If you have doubts and can’t fully believe in your abilities, you will have difficulty visualizing your best self.
Doubts are real, but most of the time, they are not. When you doubt yourself, Chances are you are comparing yourself with someone else who you think is more successful than you.
7. Don’t Limit Yourself
We often limit ourselves and think that we can not achieve more than a certain level and put limitations on us. Unfortunately, this is how we are conditioned to think.
It’s possible to break this conditioning just because it’s not real.
8. Don’t be impatient
Have you heard the phrase that goes like- “Rome wasn’t built in a day”? I am sure you have.
Similarly, every big and beautiful thing takes time. If you want to graduate from college, find a job in your dream company or start your own business, it will take time.
Don’t be impatient if you don’t see the immediate result.
Give your full effort, and things will work out at the right time. All you have to do is trust the process.
9. Don’t give up.
There are a lot of reasons behind why people give up, but as far as I come to know, it’s not because they did not achieve anything but not as much as they thought we would.
Sometimes set unrealistic goals and couldn’t achieve that because nothing happens overnight.
And if you think you’ve put your one hundred percent and it still isn’t working out, change your strategies and learn from the people who know how to do it. Don’t give up; give it a second chance.
10. Surround yourself with people who inspire you.
But I don’t mean that you have to know them personally or hang out with them every once in a while.
If there is someone who inspires you, you can watch their interviews, listen to their podcasts, or read a book if they have written any.
By doing so, you will learn a lot of new information and also the way they see the world. It’s so interesting.
I believe that shifting reality gets a lot easier when you know and believe that it is a possible thing to do. Ups and downs are normal. But if you know what you want and can put your efforts into achieving that goal, the chances are you will.
