Are you looking for introvert self-care ideas?
The truth is most people around us are (or they pretend to be) outgoing, and being social energizes them, but as an introvert, you hate being a part of large groups. You are someone who often cancels plans in your head before you even make them AND prefer to stay at home so you can be you and there won’t be any pressure on you to go out to meet other people and talk to them.Â
Honestly, it brings so many questions in my mind as an introvert, like what if I say something wrong in front of someone and they make fun of me, or what will I even say in the first place to keep the conversation going?
Even sometimes, society sees us as someone who is rude and don’t want to talk to others.
While it’s far from the truth, what makes it worse is that even if you try to explain to them, they don’t want to listen to you and accept the fact that not everyone is outspoken and there are people (like us) who love being in solitude and enjoy their own company, and that’s how we are.
And trust me, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with this.
When I was a teenager, I even had someone saying that I can not be successful because I didn’t speak much and I should change the way I was if I wanted to get anywhere in life.Â
However, I always take such advices with a pinch of salt, and I believe that a person should remain as they are. Nobody needs to change anything in them (unless they want to).
As long as you are willing to perform better in what you are doing, learn from your mistakes, and grow, you can be successful.
Well, if you can relate to anything I’ve said above, then in this post, we are going to be talking about introvert self-care ideas that you can perform at your home and enjoy your own company. Â
And no, you are not weird for doing this.
Now, let’s get started.Â
13 Introvert Self-Care Ideas You Can Perform At Home
1. Get Lost In a Book.
There is a quote by Groucho Marx that goes like- Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend.
Depending on what kind of book you like, you can choose one that may help you relax or learn something worth learning.
If you are into self-help books, here are my top 10 recommendations that I believe everyone should read at least once.
Or if you prefer books on manifestation, here are 11 manifestation books that you can check out!
2. Listen to your favorite music.
These are the small activities we sometimes underestimate the most, and listening to our favorite music is one of them.
Music really helps us feel better and raise the frequency.
Play your favorite playlist and dance if you want to.
3. Light a beautiful scented candle.
Another pretty small activity that has the power to change your entire mood in just a few minutes.
You can light candles while reading a book or any other activity that I will mention later in this post.
If you are looking for candles for your next self-care day, here are my top three recommendations.
4. Cook your favorite meal.
Nothing can beat eating your favorite meal that you cook for yourself.
Don’t forget to enjoy it slowly.
And if you are not a fan of cooking or get tired of cooking every day then give yourself a needed break and order your favorite food for you.
5. Get relaxed with bubble bath.
A bubble bath is more than a personal hygiene thing.
If you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed for some reason then try taking a bubble bath.Â
Even science agrees that taking bubble baths can improve your mental health.
6. Try a new hairstyle.
Call me crazy but I love trying out new hairstyles to see which one is looking good on me.

7. Watch TV while putting on a face mask.
It’s one of my favorite self-care ideas on the list.
Watching TV while you put on a sheet mask is a great way to relax.
8. Write down your 5 year goal plan and create a vision board.
There can’t be anything better than working for your future to live the life you always wanted. And the best time to start doing it is now.
You can set a goal that you want to achieve in the next 5 years, and do what exactly you have to do every day to achieve that.
Creating a vision board is also a great way to keep your goals in front of you so it can remind you what you need to focus on in the present moment.
9. Plant some greenery.
Planting is definitely more than a one-time thing as it requires your attention every single day even for just 5 minutes.
This is something you need to consider before taking indoor (or any kind of) plants home.
But if you choose to do this, it will be so rewarding as other than looking pretty, it purifies the air around you and improves your mood.
You can just do a simple google search to find out which indoor plants you can have at home.
10. Organize your life.
If you think your house is full of mess then it’s time to organize it so next time you can find what you are looking for.Â
I do it once in a while and I love the feeling I get after I complete home organization.
Here’s an article to help you out: How to organize your life completely in one week.
11. Play with your little one.
Yes, you guessed it right. I am talking about your pet.
As you may already know, your pet can help you feel good if you’re not in the right mood or stressed out for some reason.Â
You can also go out for a little walk with your furry friend.
If you haven’t got any pets, you can talk to someone you love over text or call depending on what you both prefer.Â
12. Play a musical instrument.
This might not work for everyone but if you love playing any musical instrument then this is your time to do it.
13. Take A Nap
Another personal favorite of mine. In case you are feeling like doing nothing, just take a nap and help yourself recharge.
