Well, most of us work a lot during the workdays and hardly get any time to spend with ourselves but Sunday is the perfect day to spend time with yourself, give the love and care your mind and body wants, and get refreshed and motivated for the week ahead.
Following self-care also has some incredible benefits that include –
- Better mental and physical health
- Can relief stress
- You can prioritize yourself
- Improves mood and makes you feel good about yourself
- Judgment-free zone because there’s no one to judge you.
Everyone can have their own preferences and the good thing is there’s no rule as to how you should spend your self-care Sunday.
Maybe you like to spend some time with yourself or perhaps you want to see your family.
Self-care doesn’t mean you have to spend all alone (that’s okay if you prefer that like I do) but if you live by yourself and would love to see your parents, Sunday could be the best day to spend some quality time with your loved ones too as I said before it depends on what YOU prefer.
Sunday could be the day when you love to sleep in for some more hours after working a lot in the gym for the whole week. (Don’t worry you are not becoming lazy for sleeping a few extra hours on Sundays).
If you are looking for some more small yet very effective self-care Sunday ideas to treat yourself on the weekend, look no further as In this post, I will be sharing some of my best practices that I do for self-care.
You don’t have to do all of them. Choose something depending on your lifestyle and what YOU personally love to do. That’s all that matters.

1- Cook Your Favorite Meal
If you are looking for self-care ideas, cooking your favorite food for yourself could be a great and fun activity to do.
Personally, I love to cook and I try to make something nice for myself sometimes, especially on Sundays. If you are not a fan of cooking – I get it. You may even order your favorite meal from our favorite restaurant.
2- Watch Your Favorite Movie
Instead of waking up late and messing up with your sleeping routine at night, you can have some time during the day when you can watch your favorite movie/series by yourself or with your partner and have a great time together.
3- Take a Long Shower
Taking A long shower is one of my all-time favorite things to do as I don’t have to make an excuse that I don’t have enough time for this.
I also love trying out new self-care products so I make sure to apply them whenever I can. You can try different exfoliators, and bath bombs (my favs), and who doesn’t love to have a great manicure session?
4- Following a Good skincare routine
Throughout the week most of us don’t get enough time to pamper our skin with a good skin care routine.
But just like taking a long shower makes us feel refreshed and calm, having a proper skincare routine is a must if you desire to have glowing and healthy skin.
If you are new to skincare and don’t know where to start, this Korean skincare routine will surely help you get started.
5- Plan your week ahead
It is something I never forget to do as doing it saves me a lot of time the next day in the morning.
If you aren’t sure how to plan your week ahead and be more mindful and productive throughout the week then I have also shared how I plan mine that you might want to check out here.
6- Call Your Loved One
If you are living far away from your family or partner, having Facetime with them would be a great idea as it will make them feel that you might be staying away from them but still, you love them and appreciate them in your life.
