Summer is almost here and when we talk about summer, its not fair to not bring up summer morning routine because its one way to start your day right and also there are many ways to make the most out of it and I cant wait to share how you can spend your summer morning (doing something differently) so you can feel fresh and not anxious.
Because I still remember mornings where I would wake up feeling anxious and did not find any way to change that.
If you have never been a morning person and always struggle with waking up earlier than your usual routine, I believe that you could find something in this post as well.
You might have come across other morning routine ideas, that will tell you to wake up at 4 am and drink green smoothies, in theory, that may sound great but in most cases, those routines are not practical or sustainable from long term perspective especially if you are not a morning person and dont have any morning routine yet.
All you know is waking up when your alarm rings and get ready as soon as you get up to go to the office and start your day that way.
With this post, you will be able to create your own morning routine that will help you spend time on yourself and feel fresh not only in the morning but throughout the day.
How To Make A Summer Morning Routine That Will Work?
1) Brainstorm How You Want Your Morning To Be.
This is the very first step that you want to take into consideration when creating any routine. How do you want your mornings to be? What does your schedule look like? Can you manage to spend 2 hours on yourself or you just have 20 minutes?
I would recommend jotting down all the questions and writing the answers. It does not matter what someone else does in the morning if it is not aligning with your goals and schedule.
You know how much I talk about vision boards, and I believe that you could also create a vision board dedicated to your morning where you can add visuals like motivational quotes and images that reflect how you want your mornings to be. It will give you a solid reason to wake up (a bit early) and take real actions.
PS- I have been thinking about creating a morning vision board for myself, If you are interested, comment below and let me know and I will create another post showing you how to make one for yourself. (+ how to collect quotes and pictures).
2) How Much Time Can You Spend On Yourself?
There is so much debate going on about this question. How much time to spend on yourself in the morning? Well, the answer might vary from person to person and even season to season. While in winters you would not want to go out as much as you would in summer.
If you have written down the answer from the previous point, you would know how much time you can spend on yourself.
If you are someone who currently cant have any time and always rush in the morning, waking up like 20 minutes before from your usual routine will be enough to get started and perform some feel-good morning activities.
If you are the one who wakes up early but hates getting out of the bed and you just waste hours scrolling on your phone, I see you. I am here to tell you its the most unproductive thing you could do to yourself.
3) What Are Your Goals?
For some people, summer morning routine might be all about fitness or self care time, for others it could be all about side hustle or learning a new skill that they are passionate about or it could be a mix of everything if you can manage? Why not!
It depends on your goals. And how you want your summer morning routine to be. There is no right or wrong way and theres no rule.
