“Invest in yourself. It is the best investment you will ever make. It will not only improve your life, it will improve the lives of all those around you.”
We are almost halfway through the year. If your new year resolutions have taken a backseat you are not alone! The good news is that you still have half of the year in front of you meaning you still have the time to accomplish what you wanted at the beginning of the year.
Whether it is to work on your health, working on a side hustle, switching jobs, just practicing hobbies more regularly or literally anything else.
It’s so easy to wake up and get caught up in the daily routine and not have the time to invest in yourself.
If you don’t know how to invest in yourself, here are 5 solid ways to do and you will thank yourself for doing this!
5 Ways To Invest In Yourself- & Become Your Best Self
1) Invest In Your Skills
As we are living in a fast paced world where most industries are constantly growing and evolving, that being said it’s important to keep up with that so you can have better opportunities now and in the future.
There are several online resources that can help. There are tons and tons of options and that’s why you want to do your research and figure out what is the best possible option for you.
Before enrolling in any course know about your mentor, read reviews, ask in the facebook groups to make sure the information you are going to get will come from a reputated and trustable source. (whether it is free or paid, you are going to invest your time in it and your time is never free).
I would recommend starting with skillshare, they have good resources in various categories. I’ve had a good experience with them. (Get one month free here).
2) Invest In Your Wardrobe
Do you have a lot of clothes but nothing to wear? This one may not seem as big but trust me it is. For the longest time, I neglected this and it directly affected my confidence. (because imagine wearing clothes that are not meant for your body shape and makes you uncomfortable).
Invest in high quality pieces that you love and feel confident in.
Maybe you can start by sorting things out and declutter what you don’t need and get rid of them as well as make room for new quality pieces that have been missing until now.
PS- If you are living frugally, high quality doesn’t always mean expensive and I believe you could find items within your budget.
3) Invest In Your Overall Health And Wellbeing
Health is wealth and when it comes to investing in yourself, this point can not be missed. Both mental and physical health are interconnected and crucial. Making healthy choices is hard but it’s all worth it when you accomplish great results. Here are some ideas to get started-
- 1) Building healthy habits. Here are 10 healthy habits to build in 2024.
- 2) Let go of toxic people. How to stop worrying about what people think of you.
- 3) Create a distraction free environment for your focus on productivity.
- 4) Never settle for less. (Know your potential and don’t limit yourself in your mind).
- 5) Perform regular self care. (To reduce overwhelm and look after yourself).
4) Invest In Your Personal Growth
This is a journey that never ends. You just move one step further and face new challenges. Investing in personal growth allows you to become more self aware. You get to know yourself better and experience different things in life. Here are some ideas to invest in your personal growth journey (my favorite ways)-
- 1) Travel more often (I love this one as it lets you see things from a different perspective than what you are used to).
- 2) Read more books. (it takes time to read books but it teaches you a lot). Honestly I wouldn’t be able to make this blog my full time job if I didn’t invest in books in my late teenage years). I am so grateful that I did and I hope you do it too.
5) Try New Things (That You’re Interested In)
This is both fun and creative. Maybe also something that is in your comfort zone and you’re scared of but wanted to try anyway. Could be as simple as going to a restaurant or movie by yourself.
By the way, if you have never tried anything solo, I have this huge list of 100 solo activities to do and build a healthy relationship and become more confident version of yourself.
Isn’t life all about having fun and finding happiness in little things? This way, Investing in yourself does not feel like a chore that you have to do. It happens naturally when you are interested in something.
That were 5 solid ways to invest in yourself, I hope you found it helpful. Please pin it so other people can find it too. 🙂
