1. Declutter Your Space

The very first end of year goal is to declutter your space and mind. I love the feeling I get after I clean the mess around me. I recommend donating, selling or getting rid of  anything that is causing clutter and you know that you won’t use anymore.

It shouldn’t take a lot of time and you don’t have to do everything in just one day.

I also have an article where I have shared how to organize your life in one week, so you don’t overwhelm yourself.

2. Look Back Your Achievements

They may not be the biggest ones like buying a house or travelling to a dream destination. Even a small habit or skill you developed this year is enough to celebrate.

Maybe you also failed at certain things you tried but it’s a good learning experience that you are carrying with yourself that will help you next year in achieving your goals.

3. Build a Positive Attitude

I have seen a lot of people worrying that another year has passed and they are not in a place where they wanted to be.

It’s ok. You’ve tried and you are already ahead of where you were last year.

This is something to think about and it’s really important to have a positive attitude before New Year arrives.

4. Start Working on Your Wellbeing

Well, a lot of people take new year resolutions to get in shape and work on their overall health but 64% of them give up within a month.

I believe that it’s never too soon to start working on your health and you don’t have to wait until the new year to start working on it because the best time to start doing it is now.

PA: before you begin make sure you have a plan that you can follow, so you will know what you are doing and achieve results

Here’s some ideas that I also follow and would love to share with you.

  • I do sports that I like so I don’t have to feel like I have to do this but I can also enjoy them at the same time.
  • I start choosing fresh foods over processed ones. If you are used to processed food, you don’t want to cut them off completely because that will not be sustainable, instead make a small and doable change that you can follow.
  • If you think exercise or yoga is boring, you don’t have to do the same ones every day or you can also join a dance class especially if you love group activity and you easily get bored when you do them all by yourself.

UPDATE- I am currently using Alo Moves to keep myself on track. If you think you need help with staying consistent, It’s the only app I recommend you to try!

5. Set Goals For The New Year

The next end of your goal is to set goals for the next year.

If you are someone who often struggles when it comes to setting goals and can’t decide how to set goals that are realistic to achieve and won’t overwhelm you at the same time.

If you often set goals but when it comes to taking action you overthink too much and don’t take necessary action and delay your results you can check out how to set goals and achieve them.

6. Be Thankful & Get Excited For The Upcoming Year

Last but not least, one of the best end of year goals you can set is to be thankful for every single moment that you are living as we have already seen a very rough past few years.

When we start counting our blessings, we often realize that there is so much more than we were aware of.

This is also a good habit to start developing before New Year.

Additionally, you can make your own goals (things you really want to do) depending on what your life looks like.

For example, if you are living far from your family and only talk to them once in a while on video calls, you can make your end of year goal to meet them before the new year (maybe on Christmas?) and have some quality time and fun with them.

You can also plan a small trip with your family or friends.

As I said before, it all depends on what your life looks like. These are just ideas to help you have a fantastic new year so you can make next year your year.

The purpose of this post is to help you have a fresh new year so you can have a better start without any regrets or negativity.

Those were 6 simple but effective end of year goals you can set and achieve before the new year arrives. If you have any additional end of year goal ideas, please do mention them below in the comments, I would love to know them!
