Are you stuck in your lazy girl era for months or years or maybe better put- as long as you can possibly remember?
You want to level up in life but somehow you know this laziness is holding you back.
But you are thinking its the final time that you do something about it.
I say that just because you can feel it and want to change it, you are already one step closer to ditch this era and start your thriving, productive whatever era you want to call it.
At the end of the day, you want to live your best girl era where you are productive, focused, and energetic enough to go after whatever you want and achieve your goals and support yourself.
Is this all we want, right?
Personally speaking, this is exactly what I wanted to do and leave my lazy girl era where I was not productive and had my life all over the place.
Remember that your lazy days are different from the lazy girl era.
The thing is There will still be days when you will be lazy. There is not necessarily anything wrong with that.
I get lazy some days where I just want to sit on my couch for hours and binge watch my favorite series.
Lazy girl era is when its been happening for so long that it is making you dull, unproductive and holding back from living your life.
I hope you know the difference now. Lets now see how you can say goodbye to your lazy girl era finally.
How To Exit Your Lazy Girl Era
1) Give Yourself Timeline
Do you Often wake up feeling lazy and feel like your whole day is going to be lazy as well?
Its mostly because it has now become a daily, never ending cycle that is repeating itself everyday.
Ask yourself what is making you lazy? What is something that is not letting you complete your task? From now on, whenever you write something to do in your list, give yourself a timeline.
Try to focus on one activity at a time.
You know you want to fulfill a task you promised to yourself because how you felt last time when you didnt.
Dont let laziness come your way this time and ruin things for you. If something is important enough for you, go after it and make yourself do it.
2) Show Up Everyday (For Yourself)
I wish laziness was a one time thing that we would be able to kiss goodbye for once and for all but unfortunately it is not.
One and only effective way to deal with it is to show up everyday for yourself. No matter what you decide to do, its important to let your brain know that you are serious and fulfill your promises.
When I first started my business, for the longest time I looked for the short cut to make my work easier, so I could sleep a few more hours in the morning but the more time I spent on it over the years, the more I realized that the secret sauce is to show up.
Not for anyone else but for yourself.
3) Start Small
Have you ever thought of starting something new but could not even take the step as you know what happened when you started something new before?
You overloaded yourself with your expectations that you could not keep up with that and you had to give up on that altogether.
When we overload ourselves with our own expectations, after a while even the most exciting things become a chore that causes us anxiety.
One of my new year goals was to learn Spanish (what a vague goal to set in the first place), and no doubt even after having all the necessary resources, it was pretty hard for me to keep up with that goal.
I had to then revise that goal and set learn 10-20 words per week and make it more precise and interesting.
4) Audit Your Everyday Habits
There are sometimes small habits that make wonders in life.
Audit what you do from waking up to night before going to sleep and figure out what habits are making you lazy.
One most common habit that is making us all lazy is scrolling through our phone even before getting up from bed and after some time it makes you lethargic and lazy.
Its important to know what habits are making you lazy so you can replace them with good ones.

5) Get Active
How active are you in your everyday routine? This one can be pretty challenging if you have a job where it does not require you to do any physical work.
If you are in this situation, consider starting your day with some light stretches and walking during the breaks and after you finish your work.
If you cant make it to the gym, doing a home workout is good enough as well as long as you stay consistent.

6) Dont Take Yourself For Granted
Do you usually take yourself for granted?
Do you fulfill your promises when you make them to yourself? If you dont, you intentionally make yourself lazy and dull.
You indirectly tell your brain that you are not serious about things you talk about or decide to do.
Stop taking yourself for granted and make yourself proud when you tell yourself you would do it.

7) Keep Your Surroundings Clutter Free
Imagine a place that is full of clutter and your surroundings full of stuff, will you feel productive or lazy?
Our surroundings have a huge effect on our mind and how we feel.
Keep your desk, bed and everything around you clean so you can give some space to your mind as well.
8) Stay Around People Who Push You To Do Better
It is said that you are the average of the five people you spend most time with.
Can you say that you are pretty happy with your surroundings? Do these people inspire you to do something in your life?
Are their life goals aligning with yours or do you feel that you are completely turning them off when you talk about your ideas?
We all have different goals in life. And depending on that life purpose, we need to figure out if we are spending our time with the right people as they are going to affect it so much.
The good news is that even if you dont have anyone who does the same, there are still pretty much great options out there you can look out for on the internet- from podcasts to interviews or great speeches and books, there are options everywhere.
9) Feed Your Body With Right Nutrition
Believe me or not, what we eat has a great effect on how we feel.
If you are eating junk food most of the time, you cant expect to feel energetic. Eating the right kind of nutrition is as important as many other points (or maybe even more) in the list I have mentioned.
Eat the right and healthy food and see how your energy level increases.
10) Sit With Yourself
We are conditioned this way that we can work for an entire day and wont feel weird but if it comes to sitting with ourselves, we start getting uncomfortable.
But do you know that you get more self aware when you spend some time with yourself.
Sit with yourself with no mobile phone and observe your thoughts.
Final Thoughts- This is how you can leave your lazy girl era forever, it may not happen immediately but these habits and awareness you bring into consciousness will help you do it.
If you fall off the track, bring yourself back and try again and again until you incorporate these habits into your daily routine successfully.
